Just a few weeks ago, we had posted about leaked pictures on what seemed to be the next generation of Supersonic Wave. There was a photo on Mizuno’s Facebook page and some pictures going around the web, so we knew they would be released in the near future. But to our surprise, Mizuno has actually released the boot to the public sooner than we thought.

Being a control boot, the Supersonic Wave is based around the idea of close control while dribbling. To promote this idea, Mizuno has placed their FTS (Feather Touch System) in the vamp. The FTS is a low rebound foam positioned under the kangaroo leather, and there is variety in the thickness of the spongy material, depending on the area of the boot.

The upper is mainly kangaroo leather, but a synthetic leather is used in the mid-foot and heel regions. Despite being a synthetic, this material feels very leather like and blends in well when meeting the actual leather. Mizuno has also added a suede heel liner to add to the comfort of the shoe.

Again with a Supersonic release, Mizuno has kept the same Tiger Claw stud configuration which consists of studs that are a mixture of both blade and conical. To create a light and flexible feel, the outsole uses a pebax core with a soft outer.

The Japanese company is continually making large strides in the soccer industry with their recent releases. Hopefully they will be released to North America in the near future, so that everybody can experience their high quality products.
