We had actually received this pair along with the 1970 and Trinity 3E around a month ago, but we are now getting out the unboxing and post.

The 1962 is a takedown model from the 1970, but it still is a high quality release. Except for slight design differences in the stitching of the upper and print pattern of the outsole, they are almost visually identical. What differentiates the two is the material used in the upper.

In the 1970, the use of a kangaroo leather upper is really the reason of why you are paying the extra 40 dollars or so. With the 1962, a calfskin leather is in place, but it is still decently soft, but not quite as supple as the 1970. Other than that, most of the boot is the exact same. The same outsole is used with the L-shaped studs, and also the 5 mm. raised heel is apparent.
